High performance insulation

A high performing thermal envelope is at the core of an energy efficient, sustainable, healthy home with high levels of insulation that help prevent energy loss and reduce the heating and cooling needs of a building. Insulation requirements in New Zealand are minimal compared to international levels and are currently under review, so you will want to upgrade your insulation so your new home performs to the new standards. If you want to meet Passive House requirements or are interested in sustainable building and achieving higher Homestar ratings, you will need much higher levels of insulation than those required by our current New Zealand Building Code.

Enveloped also offer experienced installation in Auckland and Christchurch - check out some of our projects. The team also understands the complexities involved in installing double layer insulation in conjunction with airtightness membranes in Passive House and high performance homes. We take pride in using the correct equipment to ensure a perfect fit and perfect performance of your insulation.

What we do:

We have a range of bulk glassswool and sheep's wool bend insulation, as well as high performance panel insulation PIRMAX to choose from. You’re sure to find something to suit your build and your budget. We can either supply only nationally, or provide a high quality insulation supply and installation service throughout most of New Zealand through one of our partners.

We have expertise in product selection and install for Passive house and high performance house projects.

  1. So contact us to discuss your project
  2. After consultation send us your plans and we will provide a quote. These quotes typically offer alternatives; primarily glasswool insulation and Terra Lana wool blend insulation at "good, better, best" levels, so you can see the difference in price moving from standard Building Code levels, to a solution that will ensure a higher performing project.
  3. We also provide pricing on areas to upgrade within the home such as midfloors or internal walls for acoustic treatment
  4. We will also quote for installation in regions where we offer an install service
  5. If you select our install option we will arrange our installers to collect the product and complete your installation
